Someone new is coming continued

We are having a boy! Yeah! Except he is going to have to get really use to wearing pink because that is all we have. So if anyone has any boy stuff they want to get rid of we would be most grateful. Adam and I did go to some yard sales the other day and found a few cute things. We were kind of the late comers and so one lady was done and just gave us everything for free. So that was pretty awesome.

For Memorial Day we decided to go to the cabin. There were a few snow drifts as you got close to the cabin but nothing really bad. UNTIL you got to the road down to the cabin. I was driving Braden's expedition and he has now learned that I should not be behind the wheel of that thing. Sorry Braden! I also learned that I don’t spend enough time at the cabin. We had to turn on the propane and I knew how to do that but I didn’t realize you have to wait about 10 minutes before you can turn anything on because the gas takes a while to move through the pipes. Also we had no water because I didn’t know how to turn it on. But we think the real problem was that it was still frozen. Never the less we enjoyed being at the cabin and on the mountain. It is really hard to get there being so far away and Adam working so much.

Now a funny story! My siblings started a tie for my dad for Father's day that you color on and iron to set the color. Well I was the last to receive it and I think that was not a good idea. I received it on Thursday and was trying to still get it there for Father's day on Sunday. So Cheznie and I opened it and drew on it and ironed it. The ironing is where it all went wrong! I had it between 2 sheets of paper like it said but when I was done it looked awful. There was a stain on it somehow and I know it was not there before because it was where we had drawn and other colors had disappeared. So I had to wash and dry it carefully and quickly, recolor it (fixing up others marks, SORRY to those others), and again iron it. In the end it looked ok but then had to still get it to the post office. So I packed up the three children here and we went and mailed the package, making sure it would get there by Father's Day. The next morning my loving father called and said...HE WAS COMING HERE!

This is what he brought though!

Isn't it beautiful! And the bedspread was made by my Mom. Thanks again Dad!
